It all started with BellCom then it became Q4.

BellCom started in 1996 as one of the early Internet companies in Denmark, aiming at the kind of simple HTML web development, that was the standard at that time. Already in 1998 BellCom was appointed the first Oracle Internet Partner in Denmark, and at this time, BellCom was delivering complex database-driven solutions to its customers. In 1999 BellCom was sold to an American global company (iPares), and as iPares Denmark, we worked together with our sister companies, mainly in Norway and the Sweden. After the burst of the dotcom boost, our mother company turned in, and we had to buy our old BellCom back from the Americans. At that time we decided to focus on Open Source , which today is our core business.


In 2006 the 4 partners of BellCom A/S decided to part and the major part of the BellCom operations were sold to BellCom Open Source ApS in Kolding.

BellCom A/S continued in Hellerup and have since changed name to Q4 Web A/S

We have delivered top professional solutions to several hundred customers in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, both in the private and the government sector; as well as the Conservative Party in Denmark.

The management of the company have held seats on the board in several public fora, such as The Danish Internet Business Association (IBF), Danish Internet Forum (DIFO). DK Hostmaster, the SMV Committee at the Danish Industry (DI), Danish Open Source Society (DOSS), and The Open Source Business Association (OSL).
